Thank you for visiting the ASU Metro Atlanta Alumni Chapter (MAAC) Scholarship and Financial Aid page. The chapter is proud to offer scholarships and financial assistance to entering freshmen and undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need.

Scholarships are available to high school seniors who plan to attend Alabama State University. Hornet Scholars must meet all scholarship eligibility requirements established by the ASU Metro Atlanta Alumni Chapter.

Application Deadline and Interview

1. Application Deadline: March 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM

2. In-Person Interview: To Be Announced (TBA)

 

Eligibility

 

Applicants must:

1. Reside within the Metro Atlanta area

2. Attend a Metro Atlanta high school (this includes charter and private)

3. Be a graduating high school senior

4. Have been accepted to Alabama State University (proof of acceptance)

 

Scholarship Criteria:

Applicants must submit:

1.  A completed scholarship application

2.  A minimum 3.0 GPA (weighted)

3. An unofficial high school transcript

4. One letter of recommendation (teacher, counselor, or school administrator)

5. A written essay
